Competition for young jewellery designers

We are looking for you!

Since 2012, the Munich Show – Mineralientage München has been awarding the "Young Designers Corner" award – a prize for young talents from the jewellery industry. The competition offers committed creatives the opportunity to present themselves on the international stage and prove their skills. A top-class jury selects the eight finalists. The criteria for the evaluation of the jewellery and watches: innovation, suitability for everyday use and technical and artistic implementation.

Many former participants have now established themselves as successful jewellery designers in renowned companies or launched their own collections. Previous winners include talented designers such as Jasmina Jovy, Eliana Petsch, Josef Kammerlander and Cecilia Accardo.

The eight finalists will present their works to decision-makers in the jewellery industry and an international audience at Gemworld 2024.
 
We are looking forward to all creative submissions.
The deadline for submissions is August 31, 2024.

1st place: €1,500 prize money

2nd place: €1,000 prize money

3rd place: €500 prize money

• one free stand each in the New Design Area at Gemworld Munich 2025!

1./ Training (crafts/(technical) university) in the fields of jewellery design, goldsmithing/silversmithing or comparable

2./ Still in education or graduation within the last 3 years (cut-off date 31.08.2021)

3./ Submission of the complete application documents by the closing date (curriculum vitae, copy of the degree certificate, written design concept with picture/sketch of the object from at least 2 perspectives)

4./ Evaluation criteria:

• technical implementation
• Suitability for everyday use
